Come and join us for an illustration evening with five leading experts in the field of motion graphics who will each give a 15 minute profile, discussing and showing their work, followed by a Q&A session.

Following the extremely successful Illustrators event last year, the West of England Design Forum are organising another similar event on the theme of Motion Graphics. With the constant changes in technology there are ever increasing opportunities and expectations for motion graphics. This is a fantastic opportunity to see some of the key players in this exciting area.

Moving Brands

Moving Brands is an independent, award-winning branding company with creative studios in London, Zurich, Tokyo and San Francisco. Shane Walter, onedotzero (To Be Confirmed)

onedotzero is a London-based moving image and digital arts organisation which commissions, showcases and promotes innovation across all aspects of moving image, digital and interactive arts. The organisation, founded in 1996, is known for representing a diverse array of artistic endeavour via the annual onedotzero_adventures in motion festival and associated touring. It has a cross media and collaborative approach attuned to technological advances and fast paced change within digital arts and the contemporary culture landscape.

Charlie Mawer, Red Bee Media

Charlie worked in every area of the BBC’s 250 strong in-house Creative Department before becoming its Executive Creative Director in 2003. The company was sold in 2005 and became Red Bee Media. Recent work he has led has included: the identities of BBC One, and BBC Three, the complete network rebranding of UKTV including the IPA gold winning creation of Dave, Discovery International, Orange IPTV, Bibigon, Star News India, RTE, and numerous other branding projects in Spain, Greece, Belgium, Japan, and beyond. High profile promotional campaigns include Comic Relief, BBC World News, Formula One and Cbeebies.

Matthew Rudd, Rudd Studio

Rudd Studio builds new brands and develops existing brands, focusing equally on motion, print and sound. The agency, set up in 2002 and based in the London Bridge part of the city, has chosen to stay small. This way it is able to choose projects carefully. Matt Rudd has played a big part in the evolution of the Channel 4 brand. Other clients include Laurence King Publishing, Friends of the Earth and Sky Italia. He has composed music for several tv channels and he lectures frequently, most recently at the Royal College of Art and at Central Saint Martins College of Art.

PK, The Mill
