View is one of the South West’s most exciting contemporary art galleries, situated in Bristol’s Harbourside. We’re here to champion new art and new artists, and bring a refreshingly informal approach to the way you can view and buy art.

We welcome everyone from the keenest collectors and corporate-art buyers, to people buying original art for the first time – or who just happen to be passing by and fancy a look.

‘White Colour’ is an exhibition of extremes and contrast. The harmony and conflict between colours has been prevalent in history and nature as well as all forms of visual art. A wash of a single colour stimulates psychological responses, often with predictable results. Colour combinations within the spectrum can create peaceful calm or intense conflict in our subconscious and inspire or change moods and behaviour. ‘White Colour’ explores our response to one of the most natural stimuli in our lives.

Wendy Allan. ‘Light Pipes’ are made as individual pieces or as an installation. They are made from reclaimed silk, which dyes beautifully and forms great translucence and delicacy when emerging from the manufacturing process that creates these stunning resin sculptures.
