Event overview:

Honeyfest is a one day mini folk and arts festival being held on 16th April 2011 at the Barge Inn Honeystreet, in Wiltshire's Pewsey Vale.

The event will be supported by artists such as recent Brit Award winner Laura Marling, the talented Magic Numbers, the legendary Damien Rice as well as locally and nationally known up and coming acts. This one off line up, normally only seen at the likes of Reading, Leeds and Glastonbury festivals, will be coming to the Barge Inn, a country pub in a tiny rural hamlet, in order to showcase the launch of the Barge Inn Community Project; a project aimed at saving this struggling pub.

This event would never have been possible without the financial help and fantastic guidance given by the Big Lottery and their Village SOS program, also supported by the BBC. The event will be filmed for BBC1 as part of a 6 part series on the rejuvenation of business in rural areas of Britain. For 6 weeks this summer, the Barge Inn at Honeystreet will be the most famous (real) pub in Britain!!"
