Withy King holds FREE IP clinics to celebrate World IP Day

World Intellectual Property Day takes place on 26 April this year. It is recognised globally with campaigns and events to highlight the importance of Intellectual Property to businesses and organisations.

Withy King is celebrating World Intellectual Property Day this year by reaching out to businesses and organisations and offering “one-to-one” Intellectual Property clinics. These clinics will be especially useful to technology or creative businesses or entrepreneurs. Our experts will analyse the Intellectual Property rights that the business has or could obtain – a mini Intellectual Property audit. After all, every business has Intellectual Property!

“Many businesses don’t even realise they have intellectual property – let alone the value of it,” explains Jessica Bent, head of the Technology and Media team at Withy King. “Businesses which identify and protect their Intellectual Property put themselves in a very strong position because they suddenly have a valuable commodity which can be transferred, licensed, mortgaged or even sold.

“Intellectual Property can open up all sorts of new possibilities for businesses, giving them access to new territories, new sectors and new markets, here in the UK and abroad, and in many cases acting as a real spring board for expansion."

Confidential, one-to-one IP clinic sessions will be held throughout the day in our Bath and Swindon offices. People will be offered a free 30 minute consultation with our Intellectual Property experts.
