Bath Spa University would like to invite members of Creative Bath to its Newton Park campus for a FREE Equality Forum considering ‘challenging invisible barriers together’ on Wednesday 16 June 2010, 9.45am-3pm.

This is an opportunity for you, as a local creative business, to benefit from some free equality training and will encourage you to consider and challenge some of the invisible barriers that lead to inequality. Further details on the event, being run by Bath Spa University’s HR department jointly with the University of Bath, are available below and any enquiries should be directed to Elaine Orchard, HR Adviser at e.orchard@bathspa.ac.uk

·        Learn how, as major employers in the city, both Bath Spa University and University of Bath have responded to recent equality legislation and consider how it may inform your response.
·        Enjoy an interactive, experiential theatre session, as Steps Drama Learning Development present scenarios that look at some of the barriers to equality.
·        Share best practice and show your own employees and customers your commitment to equalities;
·        Network with locally-based equality groups, other local employers, university students and employees;

The day aims to be both enjoyable and informative and encourage debate on equality issues, promote better understanding and increase the links between the city’s universities and the community. We would welcome your participation on the day, but even if you are unable to attend, do please register your interest in order that we can e-mail you a summary of the event.
