Spiegeltent Opening Night Party
Made in Romania with Paprika Reloaded
Price: £3 on door after 9pm

Want to see how they party in Romania? From 6pm the fabulous Spiegeltent will be part of Party in the City with a feast of Romanian sounds, dance and images. There will also be Balkan tunes courtesy of DJ Cris Pierssené.
At 9pm we welcome on stage Paprika Reloaded (formerly Paprika Balkanicus) whose electrifying show of fantastic musicianship and witty stage presence is cooking them up into the hottest (see what we did there?) newcomers on the world music scene.
Heritages from Romania & Serbia (and Britain!) combine in a fiery blend of traditional music from the Balkans and Eastern Europe. Featuring violin, guitar, bass and accordions, their repertoire comprises songs which mirror the longing, passion and joy of these hidden places.
NB we had thought that this event was being supported by the Romanian Embassy, but we'd got the wrong end of a Slivovitz, it is sponsored by its organiser, Livia Stoica, in collaboration with Bath Fringe and our music & spiegeltent sponsors.
