I am a local textile artist living in the Newbridge area of <st1:city w:st="on">Bath</st1:city> and recently took part in the successful <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Newbridge</st1:placename> <st1:placename w:st="on">Art</st1:placename> <st1:placename w:st="on">Trail</st1:placename></st1:place>.<o:p></o:p>

I belong to several exhibiting groups in the South West one of which is bringing an exhibition to Walcot Chapel for 2 weeks in August.  I am writing to you in the hopes that you might be interested in giving us some coverage for our upcoming exhibition Face to Face. <o:p></o:p>

The group, Stitch Textile Artists, a highly professional and dedicated group, was founded in 1999 coming together under the guidance of international textile artist and tutor, Siân Martin. <o:p></o:p>

We meet three times a year at Urchfont Manor to nurture individual styles while being challenged to push boundaries and evolve as textile artists.<o:p></o:p>

Primarily a master class/study group we exhibit only every three or four years.<o:p></o:p>

In Face to Face a wide range of media techniques and interests is demonstrated in wall hangings, panels, sculptured structures, fashion/accessories etc.<o:p></o:p>

The human face may be revealed or partially disguised. The many facets of everyday items, reflections, memories, individual features juxtapose and invite the viewer to contemplate the ideas and feelings that lie beneath. <o:p></o:p>

Where: Walcot Chapel, Walcot Gate off <st1:street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Walcot Street</st1:address></st1:street>.<o:p></o:p>

Dates: August 17th to August 29th inclusive.<o:p></o:p>

Times: Open every day from 11am to 4pm including Sundays.<o:p></o:p>

* We are hosting a Come and Meet the Artists day on Saturday 21st August.<o:p></o:p>
