We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join blubolt, and are after an individual with the following credentials:

• Solid knowledge of
  
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS), specifically EC2, VPC, RDS, ELB, ElastiCache
  • Linux (Ubuntu 10.04 LTS) systems administration
  • Chef
  • Networking
  • Apache Solr
  • Memcached
  • Apache Tomcat 6
  • LAMP stack implementation
  • High performance/scalability/redundancy (DRBD, auto-scaling, replicated environments)
• Interest in high-performance high-traffic critical infrastructure implementation and development
• Desire to learn!

You will be:

• Maintaining and improving our various infrastructures
• Working with the development team to discover optimal solutions to infrastructure growth needs, both in terms of infrastructure work and in terms of application modification to support infrastructure
• Developing and documenting procedures, processes, and improving organisation around infrastructure maintenance and management
• Very probably eventually growing a systems administration/operations team around yourself
• Working fairly autonomously - we don't micromanage - we trust our people
• Growing your skill set as the business grows around you
• Working in a vibrant office environment where developing first class solutions in an enjoyable atmosphere are far more important than a suit and tie.

This is a full-time role and all applicants must be based within a short commute of our premises.
