Overview
To create engaging online brand-led designs which are focused on converting browsers to buyers and utilise current web best practice, under the guidance of the Online Conversion Manager.
Creating, managing and uploading of designed web assets across online channels, including e-commerce websites, Facebook pages, blogs, and other external sites. Working with web developers to develop first class web experiences for customers, acting as front-end designer, specifying and managing design implementation work and always ensuring the highest quality experience for web customers.
Key tasks:
- Take briefing on web design work including the objectives for the work from Online Conversion Manager
- Translation of brand requirements into engaging online experiences utilising best practice in e-commerce and web design which engage the target customer.
- Design and implementation of content and page design for the company websites and external websites
- Production of web-ready product images for the website
- Design and production of brand led affiliate and retargeting web banners and other promotional elements to support the E-commerce acquisition team
- Creation of all web design elements required to support email sends
- Uploading and publication of “off-site” content where required, such as Facebook, Twitter, and blog content, producing assets for this content such as images and headers as required.
- Proposing concepts and designs for creative and engaging online features, and acting as an advisor on current best practice in web design
- Creating and maintaining engaging social media tools and apps.
- Ensuring all web designs and designed content are fully tested both before and after go live, to ensure compatibility with all methods of access.
- Upload web design and other content elements created to the websites using the CMS and other tools as appropriate
Requirements:
- Would suit a high class graduate of web or graphic design (specialising in online).
- Experienced in online retail or varied agency background
- Fully competent in Flash, HTML (HTML5), CSS, Photoshop, AS3, Javascript, Wordpress, jQuery
- Enthusiasm for web, and for web retail
- Ability to work on multiple tasks at any one time
- Ability to working under pressure and to tight deadlines
