Bristol Encounters: 0117 Hour Film Challenge

To celebrate the opening of Bristol's brand new M Shed museum, Bristol Encounters are inviting filmmakers from all over the world to create a short film based in and focused on Bristol, in just 117 hours, between 17 - 22 June.

The brief is to create a 2 minute 30 second short film inspired by a story, artefact or theme from the M Shed galleries. These concentrate on Bristol People, Places and Life.

The Bristol Film Office will be providing location support to registered filmmakers for the competition, and there will be opportunities to source local music free of charge for soundtracks.

The films will be judged by a prestigious jury, with the winner announced on 24th June at a special celebratory event at the M Shed, collecting a prize of £1000! The finished films will also join the museum collections, to be viewed by visitors in the future.

To take part, all teams must register before Wednesday 15th June. Teams will get an opportunity to look around the museum at 10am on 17th June to get inspiration, with the final submission due by 10am on 22nd June.

Further details can be found on the Bristol Encounters website.
