Bath Based Business Helps Raise Funds for Haitian Charity
Bath-based web business Eclector is in direct contact with Haiti-based local charity, OREworld who are establishing a camp for many hundreds of refugees from the capital Port-au-Prince. ORE are at Camp Perrin, 190 kms from the devastated capital and are able to provide food, shelter and medical attention, but are in urgent need of financial support to sustain this work just as the Haitian government start bussing more refugees out of the earthquake zone.
Eclector builds online bookshops for charities and has put one together for ORE in just two days at http://haiti.eclector.com. All the profits on every book sold through the store will go to ORE.
"I've known Dr Mousson Pierre who runs ORE for many years and have always been impressed with the selfless way she works for the wellbeing of the Haitian people and its environment," said William Pryor, CEO of Eclector. "It is wonderful that Eclector can play a small part in helping mitigate some of the misery that the Earthquake has brought to what was already the poorest country in the western hemisphere."
"Through its agricultural and environmental initiatives, ORE (Organisation for the Rehabilitation of the Environment) has been dedicated to improving the quality of life in rural Haiti," The Mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg.
The bookshop supporting ORE is at http://haiti.eclector.com
