GMG Graduates Celebrate Achievement
Beautiful weather greeted the graduates of the Marketing and Finance for Creative Businesses course on Wednesday 8 September, when they arrived at Coots Café and Bar, on the sunny Gloucester Docks.
Balloons, banners and bubbly (a bit of Cava that is), were all on offer to make this a truly celebratory event, and honour these GMG members, who had committed significant time and effort to complete the assignments associated with this free training course run the GMG’s funded Evolve training project.
Each ‘Graduate’ was presented with their certificate for a Level 5 Award in Management from the Institute of Leadership and Management (a standard equivalent to a University higher degree or Masters level).
Paul James, Leader of Gloucester City Council presented the awards, and tutors and senior representatives of Cirencester College (who ran the training sessions and supported the course attendees), as well as the Chair of the GMG, were all present to offer the their congratulations.

Jessica Marklew, Evolve Project Manager also wanted to add her congratulations.
“Although the GMG has never held a formal graduation event before, this was our most challenging course of the Evolve project, and these 11 individual really deserve the recognition for their dedication and hard work. This really is an impressive qualification to achieve, and they should be very proud of there commitment. More importantly the training they received will be really useful to them every day. ”
The Evolve project is funded by a grant from the European Social Fund and supported by the Skills Funding Agency.
