A major sculpture trail of giant Owls and smaller Owlets is coming to Bath this summer – from the same team that brought you the hugely popular King Bladud’s Pigs and Lions of Bath trails.
Minerva’s Owls of Bath will be a free and inclusive event, bringing colour and fun to the city for 3 months from the end of June, celebrate Bath’s Roman heritage and raising funds for local charities.
Individual and Interactive
Each sculpture will be individually decorated by local artists or celebrities, and sponsored by different local businesses. They’ll also be fitted with interactive beacons which will send information and interactive questions about that Owl to people’s phones as they approach.
Final ‘Hoot Farewell’ Weekend – 6-7th October 2018
At the end of the trail, the Owls will gather in one giant ‘Hoot Farewell’ weekend on 6-7th October, before being auctioned off in aid of four local charities. The charities are the Forever Friends Appeal for the new RUH Cancer Centre, Bath Young Carers Centre, Roman Baths Archway Project and the UK Little Owl Project.
