Full Job Description

Are you a social media maestro bursting with creativity and eager to put your skills to turn your talents to a role where you'll really make a difference? If you share our passion for engagement, thrive in a dynamic environment and fancy working at the very forefront of scientific communications, then this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. Over 20 years, as the leading independent online science publisher, SelectScience has transformed global scientific communications, our hard-working and innovative team motivated by a fierce desire to make the world a healthier place.

We interview the world’s top scientists on camera, cover cutting-edge conferences across the globe and break the technology news that really matters - now we just need the right person to help us get all that brilliant content in front of as many of the right people as possible through our network of social media channels.

Our audience is already growing fast, but you’ll be the person to take it up a notch. With a proven track-record of delivering successful professional/b2b social media campaigns and audience growth, you’ll have a clear understanding of how to convert that audience to web traffic, membership, sales leads, or other core business objectives. Our biggest drivers to date have been LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter, so you’ll be an expert in all three, but we’re seeking fresh ideas.

Working with multiple international brands, you’ll relish the chance to build a network of strong relationships with scientists, marketing experts and other external partners.

You’ll be playing a key role in spreading the word on our exciting new video service ‘The Scientists’ Channel’, so you’ll need to be highly organized and used to putting together clear strategies for success – whether paid or organic campaigns - as well as experienced in measuring, analyzing and reporting back on that success.

Whilst we expect you to have a degree-level qualification, experience of publishing or a science background would be a plus. However, we are most interested in the skills, ideas and enthusiasm you can bring to the role.

The right candidate can expect a competitive salary and benefits as well as plenty of opportunity to develop and grow – not to mention the daily buzz of seeing your strategies make a real difference.

Science communication has never been more important – this is your chance to be right at the forefront of that conversation.
