The ICIA are pleased to announce Fleur Hoefkens-Lee as the new Creative Producer for Bath Dance.
Since 2011, Bath Dance has been a catalyst for increasing the visibility of dance within Bath and North East Somerset. The organisation has been connecting, suppoting and developing dancers in Bath, as well as co-commissioning national companies and community projects. Ket examples include a 'what's on' news and opporunities listing service, co-commissioing companies such as Akram Khan to perform in Bath, and most recently the Rosemary Lee community project as part of Bath International Music Festival. Bath Dance has also opened the doors for local dancers in Bath through the 'DanceSeed' bursaries, allowing applicants to further their artist development.
Fleur's brief will be reflecting on, shaping and advising the future direction of Bath Dance, building on the achievements of the previous Creative Producer, Lisa Lort.
Jamie Eastman, ICIA Director said; 'Fleur's experience in building and supporting dance for young people in Bath will help nourish the future of Bath Dance within our local community, bringing dance to more people and supporting professional dancers in the region. Fleur brings to the role her passion and knowledge for sustainability of dance within B&NES, which gives me confidence in her ability to sustain the legacy of Bath Dance."
Fleur Hoefkens-Lee will be starting as Creative Producer from 30th June 2016.
